Today’s Reading, Psalms 46-50
Focal Scripture: Psalms 47:1-2 “Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with a jubilant cry. For the Lord, the Most High, is awe-inspiring, a great King over the whole earth.”
We get excited about many things in life. Some people get excited when football games are played. The topic actually consumes their conversations. Some people get excited about movies and what is coming up next. Others get excited about fashion. You know what these people are passionate about by how they speak and act about their topics.
However, how excited are we about God and what he does in our lives and the lives of others? Do we clap our hands and have a jubilant cry? Our reactions show us a lot about where our hearts are towards God.
We must always remember that our God is awe inspiring and a great king over the whole earth. When our hearts are focused on him being our king our minds will follow. It will change our interactions and how we think about others. Worshiping the king of the whole earth will change us. And it will change us for the better.
My desire for you today is to worship the lord more than you worship anything else. He is worthy and he is worth it.
Tomorrow I plan on reading Psalms 51-57
