Eternal Worship

Today’s Reading, Revelation 20-22

Focal Scripture: Revelation 22:3 “and there will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him.”

Knowing how a story ends doesn’t take away the impact it can have on your life. We know this because we tell stories of victories in our lives whether they are personal or from others. We tell them with passion and exuberance. We tell them because these stories have impacted us and we want other people to experience what we have because of that journey.

In today’s reading it is no different. John is explaining how things will come to fruition in the future. He explains that Satan will be ultimately defeated. Those who rejected the lamb will be judged for their sin. Believers will be judged according to their works. Heaven and Earth will flee from the presence of God and a new heaven and a new Earth will be revealed. The source of light will be Christ himself.

We will be in attitude of eternal worship because the lamb is in his rightful place. After all, that is the point of all of what has transpired through the Bible. God is worthy and is the only one worthy of worship for all eternity. Jesus has defeated sin, death, hell and the grave. He is the life giver and source of hope.

The challenge for people today is to believe that Jesus is who he says he is right now. That is the challenge for you. For the believer our eternity will be eternal worship. Worship that will never stop. Worship that is due to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Our eternity is secure in him.

Do you believe? If not, you still have a chance to respond to the truth. We have certain victory. If you’re not a believer you have certain wrath. However, you don’t have to experience wrath in the future. Jesus died for all, you just have to accept he is the source of life.

Heaven is a place where people choose to be for eternity. A place of worship that focuses on God for all of eternity.

Tomorrow I plan on recapping the year.
