Remembering How The Lord Provides

Today’s Reading, Esther 6-10

Focal Scripture: Esther 9:28 “These days are remembered and celebrated by every generation, family, province, and city, so that these days of Purim will not lose their significance in Jewish life and their memory will not fade from their descendants.”

When the Lord does a great work it is important to remember it in a powerful way. This is exactly what Mordecai and Esther did after they were saved. They were going to be slaughtered as a people group. Extinction was imminent. However, God used these two faithful servants to save their people.

Mordecai and Esther put into practice two days that remember how God saved them. They wanted the nation to always have on their mind Gods redemptive power during this time of worship.

We as believers must remember how God has provided for us when things were difficult. To often we get so focused on the negative we miss Gods provisions for us in our lives. During our struggles we must take time to remember how God has worked in our past.

This remembering will but into focus that God provides. It will show us how God has worked in our past and may work again. I encourage you to write down or find a way to memorialize Gods work in your life. It will help sustain you when times are difficult.

God cares and he is always at work. For his glory and his good. That even includes our lives.

Tomorrow I plan on reading Job 1-4
