The Lord Does Great Things

Today’s Reading, Job 35-37

Focal Scripture: Job 37:5

“God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.”

Knowing that God does great things is a welcome reminder. To often God is treated like a genie. People want from him but forget they what he gives is needed and incomprehensible. Our wants and desires can go against his plan for us.

In this passage we clearly see that God is the one who does great things. His voice is powerful and his decisions are perfect. This thinking should change everything when we are struggling. Because we know that a perfect God doesn’t make mistakes.

We should be encouraged by this thought. God does great things all the time. Even when it appears to be bad for us in the moment. However, if one believes that God is always good, he doesn’t make mistakes and he knows what’s best. Our trust must be in him for everything.

He does great things. All day and all the time. Even when we don’t understand.

Tomorrow I plan on reading Job 38-39
