The Lord Is My Deliver

Today’s Reading, Psalms 17-20

Focal Scripture: Psalms 18:2-3 “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I was saved from my enemies.”
‭‭

What we believe about the Lord comes out whether we realize it or not. Some people have doubts. Some people have questions. Some people have complete trust in the character of God.

This Psalm demonstrated faithfulness. Say the words out loud as you read them. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. Hear how these words demonstrate trust and expectation.

Then it goes even further and says that the Lord is the rock where refuge can be found, a shield, horn of salvation, and stronghold. This demonstrates God’s strength. David knows who has his back. His faith rests in a good God.

As believers we must find comfort in this Psalm. It demonstrates faith in God when in a bad situation. It shows that God will deliver his people. It may not look the way we expect or happen when we think it should but we know we will be delivered.

If you’re struggling today have trust in God.

Tomorrow I plan to read Psalms 21-25
