Wonderful Works of God

Today’s Reading, Psalms 134 & Psalms 146-150

Focal Scripture: Psalms 146:8 “The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord raises up those who are oppressed. , The Lord loves the righteous.”

What wonderful works are you looking for the Lord to do in your life? Are you in physical ruin and find yourself distraught? Maybe your relationships with others are falling apart around you and you don’t know what to do. Or perhaps your finances have you stressed out beyond belief. No matter where you find yourself today know that the Lord is waiting and willing to do a work in your life.

In today’s reading we get a very straightforward explanation of how the Lord works. He opens the eyes of the blind. He raises up those who are oppressed. The Lord loves the righteous. This verse tells us that the Lord care for people and accomplishes works that magnify his name.

I know it is difficult to believe that the Lord will do a work in your life. Sometimes you might even believe that nothing will ever go your way. The Bible teaches us that the Lords sovereignty is never wrong. He will help you out of your situation. He will do works that will magnify his name. He will also touch your heart and show you great and mighty things in your life that seem impossible.

This is a truth that we all must learn. It is a truth that I know I have to learn because I believe at times that the Lord doesn’t want to answer my requests or needs. Why? It often has to do with my own struggles and then I put that on the Lord.

The challenge that we all face is to make sure we believe in Gods wonderful works. Not just for others but also for ourselves. God heals the physically blind and the spiritually blind. God meets the needs of the poor and provides exactly what they need. God will also meet our unique and individual needs no matter what those look like in our life.

Our job is to believe his wonderful works apply to all believers. Not just those with special access or privileges.

Tomorrow, I plan on reading 1 Kings 9 & 2 Chronicles 8
