Everything Done Well

Today’s Reading, Mark 6-7

Focal Scripture: Mark 7:37 “They were extremely astonished and said, “He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

We often look at things with old eyes. What I mean, is that we get accustomed to people, our surroundings and even our circumstances. We get used to seeing something and then ultimately forget what we are looking at when we see it personally. However, when we go to a new place we notice every little detail. The cleanliness, the smell, anything that is out of place and especially anything that excited us.

In today’s reading we read the words that Jesus does everything well. I believe in our lives we forget this simple and profound truth. We are so used to talking about Jesus and what he does we forget how amazing he is and that he does everything well. perfect decisions, perfect healing, perfect teaching, perfect conversations. Perfect guidance in our lives.

The challenge for you today is not to lose the sense of awe we see for Jesus. Don’t get so accustomed to what he does that you forget who he is and that he changes lives. Be encouraged that when he directs your paths it is perfect.

Even be encouraged when everything goes sideways. In our mind we don’t understand. However, in the mind of Christ his direction in our life has been perfect.

Today, rest in the promise of the savior. Trust him and know that he does everything well. He guides us in perfection.

Tomorrow I plan on reading Mark 8-9
