The Son of Man Will be Seen

Today’s Reading, Luke 21-22

Focal Scripture: Luke 21:27 “Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

Have you ever seen something spectacular that is takes your breath away? I have witnessed a few events that have been amazing but not ones that I simply could not believe were happening. These events brought many emotions. Some good and some bad. However, one day we all will see something that will change us forever.

In today’s reading we are brought into what it will be like when the Son of Man comes to Earth. it will be glorious. It will be in power and great glory. Everyone will know and everyone will take notice. Jesus came in quietly the first time. The second time he comes nothing will ever be the same. The great truth is that this should not scare us as believers. It should relive us because our redemption is at hand.

So what truth should we take away from this reading. We should be ready always. We should look expectantly for the King. I can tell you right now that I long to see my King. I long to know my faith has been rewarded. My heart aches for redemption that will last eternity.

For you do you have a peace about Jesus returning? Or are you fearful? Your answer will reveal the attitude of your heart towards the second coming. If your fearful rejoice that your king is coming. If you’re happy share your faith so others can find redemption.

No matter what he is coming back. Let us have an attitude of rejoicing.

Tomorrow I plan on reading Luke 23-24
